Silver onyx cuff links $55
Slightly tweaked design. The onyx part used to be flat; now they have a small protruding dome, giving them a more three-dimensional appearance.

New white mother of pearl cuff links $25
I don’t usually hype up my products, but the quality of the mother of pearl on these cuff links is superlative. They’re absolutely mesmerizing to look at.
I have a bit of an obsession with all things mother of pearl. Have you ever stuck your hand into a box of 500 mother of pearl buttons? It’s a phenomenal feeling, cool to the touch.
In all my experience handling mother of pearl I have never seen such iridescent ones as these. I challenge anyone to find better.

Robert F. Kennedy wearing double-sided cuff links (1964)
I see a lot of otherwise well-dressed men wearing single-sided cuff links. They are awful. Are you too poor to afford real cuff links so you had to settle for half a set?

I only make double-sided cuff links, like these classic silver with mother of pearl inlay cuff links.
Double-sided cuff links were the norm up until the 1980s when—I can only theorize—jewelers wanted to fatten their profit margins even more by cutting costs.
They are not any harder to put on, and they just obviously look better.
Alan Flusser agrees with me on this. I’ve written a bit more on double-sided cuff links on my website.

In about six weeks I will have these kirin cuff links. They’re based off a door knocker I found at Chi Lin Monastery in Hong Kong.

Well, I’m not entirely sure it’s a kirin, but it’s the best that I can guess. It may just be an unspecific monster. Fun facts about the kirin from Wikipedia:

Although it looks fearsome, the kirin only punishes the wicked. It can walk on water, and can walk on grass yet not trample the blades. As it is a peaceful creature, its diet does not include flesh. It takes great care when it walks never to tread on any living thing, and it is said to appear only in areas ruled by a wise and benevolent leader. It is normally gentle but can become fierce if a pure person is threatened by a sinner, spouting flames from its mouth and exercising other fearsome powers.

The photo is just of the production sample. They will be available for sale for $45 in about six weeks in antiqued brass, which gives it a nice patina. They’re of course double-sided as all true cuff links are.
The design is hand-carved; no fancy-shmancy CAD was used.
